Counsellor Directory
This innovative membership service serves to promote business information about your counselling practice, specialized services and skills as well as the ability to upload a profile picture and business logo. With futurist trends heading towards a generation that seeks information online as well as a specific set of skills, knowledge and experience, the CPCA believes this directory will provide a competitive edge for marketing our member's counselling services across Canada to the public, insurance providers, EAP contractors and government for verification of your legitimacy. All members who are in "good standing" will be approved to list their contact information in the directory on an annual basis. It allows our members to login to their directory listing once it has been approved and make any changes to their contact information.

Description
Hello :)
My name is IdaNicole, I am a Registered Professional Counselor; mom to 2 adults and gramma to 3 littles. I am registered with both the CPCA and ACTA.
My past experiences gave me a desire to support others in areas that I myself found hard to access when I needed it. From being a single parent of both a neuro typical and a neuro diverse child, overcoming sexual abuse and trauma, to figuring out my own identity mentally, physically and sexually.
I started working in pre and postnatal outreach, parenting, as well as anxiety and couples relationship work. I noticed how people’s relationship with sex and sexuality sometimes provided insights into other aspects of their lives; nothing is more intimate and private and as such it can affect every part of us and our lives – in or out of a relationship.
I use a variety of approaches and modalities when supporting my clients; specifically tailored to each individual’s needs. Some of those include CBT, Sensate Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and others.
I book an initial consultation which is free of charge - it is to discuss what you are hoping to get support with, get to know each other a little and decide what next steps you would like to take and is approximately 30 minutes long. Regular appointments are approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Longer sessions can be booked as well as evening and weekend appointments can also be arranged.
I use more than one style of therapy and tailor that to each individual. I look forward to meeting you and seeing how I can best support you :)
